2008 AWEA Exhibition & Conference in Houston, Texas, USA

The AWEA show was attended with over 13,000 attendees in Houston from 1st to 4th June 2008. It was the largest gathering in US todate. With over 700 exhibitors. this was larger than Husumwind 2007.

The show also included technical conference, in which Dr. Kreidler presented on Winergy's behalf, titled 'Drivetrain development and testing', with over 100 attendees in the meeting room. It was presentation part of overall session on Advances in Large Scale Wind Turbines: Drivetrain development and testing.

The Winergy 75 sq. meters booth is a new design to look like a wind turbine with rotating gears and blade type configuration on the top. Winergy had displayed a part of planetary gearbox as well as Winergy literatures.

In 2007, the USA were able to break previous records in the annual new installation of wind energy generating capacities. Almost 5,250 MW were newly installed: More than in any other country worldwide. 

Winergy on Wind Power Asia 2008

The significant Wind fair in China & Asia, Wind Power Asia 2008 was held from June 25^th to 27^th , 2008 at Beijing Exhibition Hall just ahead of the 29^th Olympic games in Beijing.   This year, the number of exhibitor reached 297 in total, 50% increase than last year.  Exhibition areas covers appx. 23000sqm, still ranking No. 1 in Asia in terms of scale.  Another profound feature we noticed is the number of visitors in total 18000 in 2 and half days.  And this time the exhibition has further expanded its supply chains from OEM to component suppliers, providing a real efficient platform for purchasers and suppliers.

Under continuous global shortage of energy, wind energy in China today boom than ever.  By presenting its drive system and integrated control system & equipment, Winergy shows its great involvement in the Chinese market.

As gold sponsor of this event and concurrent conference, Winergy shows up in an outstanding booth location in 72sqm doubled last year.  The booth with its unique, symmetrical design was highly frequented by visitors during Chinas biggest wind exhibition.  The eye-catching demos%u2014gear unit, generator, inverter & Bus bar as well the Condition Monitoring System powerpoint display, indicating that Winergy is becoming a provider of wind turbine drive system & moreover control equipment & system.  The open type inverter demo is the center of attraction of Winergy booth, it%u2019s always crowded with visitors, indicating the potential of inverter market in china from one side. 

On the concurrent conference on June 25^th, Dr. Volker Kreidler made a presentation about Condition-/Load-Monitoring with about 300 listeners listening attentively. The moderator concluded the presentation this way: %u201CDr. Kreidler%u2019s lecture is very significant, we shall reduce cost by means of condition monitoring%u2026%u201D
